Review Policy

I’ve been using 1330v as a way to share my passion for reading and books for seven years now. My goal is to talk about the books I’ve read, which are often books that are well-written but haven’t received the attention that I feel they deserve. I have many roles in my life and being a blogger is just one of them, so until otherwise noted, 1330v is a serious but part-time labor of love.

I am a pretty voracious reader who reads books for all age ranges: children’s picture books to middle grade reads, fiction and non-fiction adult reads. I enjoy and review fantasy of all kinds, literary and general fiction, graphic novels, books about writing, homeschooling, education, classics, short stories, essay collections, fairy tale retellings, and a little science fiction. I rarely read historical fiction or young adult. I would love to be offered more books featuring characters of a variety of races, ethnicities, and also sexual orientations.

I don’t read books in gore, fitness and health, westerns, erotica, mysteries, thrillers, or romance genres. I also don’t read books that deal exclusively with sports. I’m currently accepting e-books in ePub and  PDF formats though I prefer print copies. Self-published books are currently not being accepted. Please don’t bother sending me emails about books in these genres. I won’t read it or will delete it without sending a reply. Don’t waste your time or mine.

Also, I am no longer participating in book blog tours of any kind.

By accepting a review copy, I am not guaranteeing that I will read the book but I will try my best to do so. I understand the costs that goes into making a print or digital copy and shipping. I only review books which I have something to add to the discussion of them. A great part of blogging is the conversations that go on between bloggers and their readers. If I feel like I don’t have anything to say, I won’t review it. It saves everyone time.

Once I finish with a review copy or ARC, I often give them to my local library staff to enjoy or fellow book bloggers. Finished copies are donated to the library’s collection. I would never sell an ARC.

Feel free to email me at 1330vblog (AT) gmail (DOT) com about any questions, comments, or to pitch a book for possible review.
