I am so freakin excited about this win. It was so well deserved. It gives me great pleasure to hand sell this. Because you can’t help but love The Warmth of Other Suns.
OK, that’s bigger than the Indie Lit Award in Nonfiction (which it also won) – great choice by the NBCC! Thanks for sharing that news.
Oh, thanks for letting us know about this one! It sounds like a great book!
Happy to know that. I’d really really love to read this.
I am moving this title up to the top of my wishlist.
This one is on my current wishlist. Living and working in DC, I see firsthand the legacy of that migration. The number of families from NC is huge, so much so that if you ask any classroom in our building where they are going for the holidays or spring break, half the responses might be NC. The rural roots moving to urban settings – I would love to read about the full scope of this transition.
I will have to see what this book is like!
This was a fantastic book and it definitely deserved to win!
Ah, yes! I’ve heard so many good things about this. I gave it to my dad for the holidays and he said it was fabulous. I need to make myself make time for it.
I have got to read this book!
This one is definitely on my list to read. I’ve read rave reviews so far.
I purchased it a few month ago and I need to start on it.
